Privacy Policy

Takeoff ("the game") is made by Anders Quistgaard. This policy explains what data the game handles.
What we collect
- Account data: you can play without an account. The game creates an anonymous guest account and keeps a random sign-in token on your device. If you choose to save your progress, we also store either your email address and a securely hashed password, or the anonymous user id that Sign in with Apple gives us (plus the email address Apple shares, which may be a private relay address).
- Game data: your airline, aircraft, offices, contracts and in-game transactions, stored so you can keep playing across sessions and devices.
- Usage data: how you play, for example when you open the game and for how long, and in-game milestones like starting your airline, delivering a contract or reaching a new level. We also record your platform (iOS, Android or web) and, when we test a change with some players, which version you were shown. This is stored on our own server together with your game account. We don't use third-party analytics or advertising tools to collect it.
We do not collect location, contacts or advertising identifiers, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
How it is used
Data is used to run the game and to improve it, including trying different versions of a feature with different groups of players to see which works best. It is never sold or shared with third parties, except our hosting provider (Railway), which stores it on our behalf.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account at any time in the game: open the menu (⚙︎) and choose Delete account. This permanently removes your account and all game data. Usage data is kept only in a form that is no longer connected to you or your account, for overall statistics.
Children
The game is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
